1. Introduction

You can upload videos for season games with an FTP program to the Sportlounge Smart Archive. This manual describes how to configure and use the FTP program FileZilla. Of course, you can also use other FTP programs for the upload.

NOTE: Our system maps the videos to the season game using the file name. The file name must fit the leagues/systems definition. Otherwise, the Smart Archive can not process the video.

2. FTP Program FileZilla

You can download the FileZilla client at https://www.filezilla-project.org/ (Client, not Server!). FileZilla is available for Windows, Mac and Linux.

2.1 Application Layout

The interface is split up into three sections:

1. The files on "Your PC". You can navigate through folders to find the files you want to upload.

2. The files on the "Sportlounge Server" you connect to.

3. A list of the progress of the current file transfers.

2.2 Server Manager - Setting up a connection

Click on the top left icon (1) to open the server manager. The server manager allows you to save the connection information, so you do not have to enter it each time you want to upload videos again.

Click on "New Site" (2) and update the name for the new connection (3). On the right, you can enter the connection details (4):

  • Protocol: "SFTP - SSH File Transfer Protocol" for a secure connection.
  • Host: As provided by Sportlounge
  • Login Type: "Normal" for connecting with a username and password.
  • User: As provided by Sportlounge
  • Password: As provided by Sportlounge

Click on "Ok" (5) to save the information.

2.4 Uploading Files

Alternatively, you can drag and drop any file from your file manager/explorer to the right side of the application.

Ones you have started an upload, the progress is displayed in the bottom part of the application (red rectangle in the following screenshot).
